Mark H. Scoones, AuD
Doctor of Audiology
Practice Owner
Born and raised in Montana, Dr. Mark Scoones has been practicing audiology since 1985. He is the owner and founder of West Coast Hearing Clinic. A retired Navy Captain with 35 years of Naval Military Service, he truly loves the audiology profession, particularly improving his patients’ communication skills and quality of life.
Dr. Scoones earned his master’s in audiology from the University of Wyoming and his doctorate from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. He is board-certified in audiology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and Academy of Doctors of Audiology.
An equally dedicated family man, Mark and his wife Debbie—who has worked alongside Mark at the clinic for 35 years. Debbie is now semi-retired and now works from home. They have a son and daughter. Mark’s son and family live in Cosmopolis, and their daughter and family live in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Mark also has three beautiful granddaughters, Collynns, Olivia and Alana.
In his spare time, you may find him attending theatre events, on the golf course, cycling or landscaping, gardening at home or adventuring with his two Shih Tzus, Barney and Bailey—West Coast Hearing Clinic’s official ambassadors (who often come to the practice to greet patients, as well).
Liz George
Patient Care Coordinator
Born and raised in Coos Bay, Oregon, Liz George moved to Washington in 1993 and has been here since. She has an extensive background in health care with experience dating back to 1983. Liz’s many past hats include emergency room medical secretary, medical assistant, office assistant, biller, and office manager. She joined our team here at West Coast Hearing Clinic in 2021. She enjoys meeting our patients and helping them with all their Audiology needs.
Outside of the office, Liz enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan, or working on a new painting. As avid travelers, Liz and Dan have visited many beautiful places around the world but have a special place in their hearts for warm, sunny beaches.
Toni Brown
Clinic Coordinator
Born and raised in Grays Harbor, Toni Brown was born with hearing loss and has been a patient of Dr. Scoones for the last 13 years. She came to work for West Coast Hearing Clinic in 2017. She loves being able to help others with their hearing difficulties.
Toni has been married to her husband, Mike, for 28 years. They have two sons, a daughter, and two Dachshunds. When she isn’t at the office, Toni loves spending time outdoors with her husband and kids. Adventures include hunting for waterfalls, hiking, kayaking and going on road trips.
